Job Requirements

  • Prior food service experience required
  • Ability to work part-time schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to handle cash transactions

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up with guests periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations, accommodate dietary requests
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • Ensure dining room is set up properly before and after service periods
  • Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Collaborate with other department staff during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
