Job Requirements
- Previous serving, dietary aide or kitchen/restaurant experience preferred
- willingness to train
- part time availability from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- adherence to cash-handling procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous serving experience preferred
- knowledge of safe food handling practices
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a team environment

- flexible and patient attitude
- basic understanding of specialized diets and allergens beneficial
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations when requested
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
- remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with other department staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
