Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on food and drink combinations and accommodating dietary requirements
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
- exhibit strong communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience in interactions with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
