  • problem-solving skills for addressing guest complaints
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on food and drink combinations and accommodating dietary requirements
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit strong communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience in interactions with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
