Job Requirements
- Valid Food Handler’s card preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- availability to work part-time schedule including rotating weekends and holidays
- reliable transportation to Sterling Court location
- willingness to undergo training
- ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service or hospitality advantageous but not required
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- strong customer service orientation
- flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate dietary restrictions
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- address guest complaints promptly and report issues to supervisors
- prepare the dining room before and after service ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
- operate dining equipment such as coffee machines, iced tea/soda machines, and fire extinguishers
- collaborate with other departments to support special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
