Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- prior server experience preferred
- able to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- able to work part-time hours including varying days and shifts
- able to follow company policies on safety and sanitation
- capable of handling cash and operating dining equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior server experience is preferred
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- basic math and cash-handling abilities
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
- flexibility to work varied and part-time schedules
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safety and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests appropriately
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other department staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
