Job Requirements

Prior server experience preferred
ability to work part-time hours including varied days and shifts
ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
ability to handle cash transactions following company policies
adherence to safety practices including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
commitment to confidentiality regarding personal guest information
ability to perform physical tasks related to dining room setup and operations
legal authorization to work in the United States

knowledge of menu items and ingredients
ability to handle cash transactions accurately

ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
accommodate reasonable guest requests and dietary needs including allergens
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
address guest complaints promptly and relay issues to supervisor
set up and clean the dining room before and after service period
operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with other departments during special events
perform other assigned duties as needed
