Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodate dietary restrictions and allergen considerations
- communicate directly with kitchen and back-of-house staff to ensure correct and timely order delivery
- handle cash transactions following proper procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintain confidentiality of personal and medical information
- address guest complaints promptly and escalate to supervisors when necessary
- set up and maintain the dining room before and after service periods
- operate various service equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments for special events
- perform other duties as assigned
