Job Requirements

  • Previous serving, dietary aide, or kitchen/restaurant experience preferred
  • willingness to train
  • availability for part-time work from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
  • ability to follow established service procedures
  • capable of maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work well with others
  • ability to handle cash transactions responsibly
  • able to perform physical tasks required for the role

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous serving or restaurant experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests and accommodating special dietary needs
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain a positive attitude with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
