Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • able to work varied part-time schedules including weekends
  • previous serving experience preferred but not required
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • capable of following safety and sanitation standards
  • able to operate dining room equipment
  • must maintain confidentiality concerning guest information

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous serving experience preferred but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • familiarity with specialized diets and allergens is a plus
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • capacity to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • address complaints promptly and relay to supervisor
  • set up and clean the dining room before and after service periods
  • operate various service equipment
  • collaborate with other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
