Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
- deliver food promptly while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests appropriately
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including specialized diets and allergens
- communicate effectively with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and handle special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and orderly environment
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information
- promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
- prepare dining room before and after service, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to sanitation standards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
