Job Requirements

Two years of prior serving experience
ability to work part-time varying days and hours
must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
ability to work lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts
willingness to comply with company policies including use of safety equipment
reliable and punctual
basic math skills for cash handling
good physical stamina for standing and walking during shifts

Job Qualifications

Two years of prior serving experience
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
ability to demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
capacity to follow established steps of service accurately
teamwork and flexibility
ability to operate dining room equipment safely
customer service oriented
ability to handle cash transactions properly

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally
maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special request accommodation
exhibit exceptional communication skills and teamwork
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods
operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
