Job Requirements

Two years of serving experience preferred
ability to work a part-time schedule with varying days and hours
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately
knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
two years of serving experience preferred
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
strong customer service and communication skills
ability to work flexible hours and varied schedules
ability to operate food service equipment
capability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accuracy of orders and special requests
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
ensure dining room setup before and after service meets sanitation standards
operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
