Job Requirements

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • ability to work part-time Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • reliable transportation to and from work location
  • ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • completion of any required food handler safety training
  • adherence to company policies and procedures
  • eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous food service experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to stand for extended periods and carry out physical tasks
  • customer service orientation
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • flexibility to work scheduled shift hours
  • willingness to learn and follow training procedures

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and dietary preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding guests' personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and report directly to supervisor
  • ensure dining room setup before and after service periods while adhering to sanitation standards
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
