Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a waiter or waitress role preferred
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • availability to work part-time schedules including evenings and weekends
  • basic proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrates understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on combinations and special diets
  • communicates with kitchen staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodations of special requests
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly addresses guest complaints or issues and reports to supervisor
  • ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operates various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • collaborates with other department staff during special events
  • performs other duties as assigned
