Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in senior living or hospitality preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to serving and cleaning
- Availability to work part-time shifts typically between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to wear provided uniform
- Ability to handle cash transactions
Job Qualifications
- Prior senior living experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with specialized diets and allergens is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Basic cash-handling skills
- Flexibility to work varied part-time shifts
- Willingness to learn and undergo training
- Positive attitude and a passion for hospitality
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
- Advise guests on menu items and ingredients including specialized diets and allergens
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding personal or medical information
- Address complaints promptly and relay relevant information to supervisor
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
- Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other assigned duties
