Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in senior living or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to serving and cleaning
  • Availability to work part-time shifts typically between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to wear provided uniform
  • Ability to handle cash transactions

Job Qualifications

  • Prior senior living experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Familiarity with specialized diets and allergens is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Basic cash-handling skills
  • Flexibility to work varied part-time shifts
  • Willingness to learn and undergo training

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
  • Advise guests on menu items and ingredients including specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding personal or medical information
  • Address complaints promptly and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other assigned duties
