Job Requirements

  • One year of serving experience required
  • ability to work on an on-call schedule with varying days and hours
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • ability to follow established steps of service
  • flexibility and patience when dealing with guests

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of serving experience
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to handle cash and follow cash-handling procedures
  • ability to work flexible on-call schedule

  • ability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note dietary preferences
  • communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests are accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
  • promptly collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • address complaints or issues effectively and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure proper dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service
  • operate various restaurant equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and perform other assigned duties
