Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate knowledge of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations, accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies
- communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are handled
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding guest information
- promptly address complaints and relay information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers
- collaborate with other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
