Job Qualifications

  • Prior catering experience
  • serving and bartending experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain a high level of guest service
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work cooperatively with others
  • understanding of dietary restrictions and allergens
  • ability to handle cash transactions

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special request accommodations
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues relaying relevant information to supervisor
  • ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service period
  • operates equipment including fire extinguishers and coffee machines
  • works with staff from other departments during special events
  • performs other duties as assigned
