Job Requirements
- Prior food service experience
- ability to work an on-call schedule with open availability
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- basic math skills for cash handling
- excellent communication skills
- age 18 or older
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correctly delivered and special requests are accommodated
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and remains flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- addresses complaints promptly and relays to supervisor
- ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operates various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- works with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
