Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Takes food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • Delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on suitable combinations and accommodations
  • Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains flexibility and patience when interacting with guests and staff
  • Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Maintains high confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Addresses complaints or issues promptly referring to supervisors as needed
  • Ensures dining room setup is adequate before and after service while meeting sanitation standards
  • Operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Collaborates with other departments for special events and functions
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed
