Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous serving experience preferred
- ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including varied hours and weekends
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to follow food safety protocols
- reliable transportation to Amira Choice Bloomington location
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to operate service equipment safely

- Previous serving experience in a senior living facility preferred
- strong communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work flexible hours including mornings and weekends
- ability to handle cash and tickets responsibly
- understanding of menu items and dietary restrictions
- ability to work well in a team environment
- patience and professionalism in guest interactions
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate full understanding of menu items and ingredients including specialized diets and allergens
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accuracy and accommodate special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
- ensure proper setup and cleanup of dining room before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
