Job Requirements
- Previous serving experience is preferred but not required
- availability to work full-time or part-time schedules including Sundays through Saturdays from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm
- ability to follow established steps of service and food safety guidelines
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to perform physical tasks related to the job
- ability to operate dining equipment safely
- commitment to providing excellent customer service
- must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding guest information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous serving experience is preferred but not required
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is a plus
- ability to handle cash and follow cash-handling procedures
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
- basic knowledge of menu items and dietary restrictions
- ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and medical information
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients including specialized diets and allergens
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are accommodated
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- handle complaints promptly and escalate to supervisors when necessary
- ensure dining room is set up properly before and after service periods
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
