Job Requirements

- previous experience in customer service preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods

- ability to communicate clearly and politely
- flexibility to work full-time or part-time shifts including early mornings

- ability to maintain confidentiality regarding guest information

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with other departments’ staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
