Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous serving experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time schedule including early morning shifts
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • flexible and adaptable to varying workdays
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on suitable combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences, including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to get along well with others
  • remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments to perform duties during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
