Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow standardized service processes
  • availability to work Tuesday through Thursday afternoon shifts
  • adherence to company policies including drug-free workplace
  • legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate diet and allergen needs
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and interpersonal ability
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information
  • address guest complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate various restaurant equipment
  • collaborate with other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
