Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience and flexibility with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and meets sanitation standards
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers and beverage machines
- assist staff during special events and perform other duties as assigned
