Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferably previous serving experience
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Flexibility and patience in handling guest requests and complaints
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- Understanding of food safety standards
- Ability to follow cash handling procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous serving experience preferred
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients including specialized diets and allergens
- Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- Maintain high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding guest information
- Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
- Ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
