Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is set up before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
