Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior elderly care or serving experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with elderly guests and team members
- ability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
- must be able to perform physical activities required to serve food and operate equipment
- able to maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety standards
- willing to work full-time and in a dynamic environment
- ability to maintain confidentiality of residents personal and medical information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in elderly care or food service preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to maintain professionalism and patience in diverse situations
- basic cash handling and point of sale experience preferred
- knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are accurate
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean safe and neat environment
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers telephones iced tea and soda machines soup wells and coffee machines
- work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
