Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 4 years of waiter or waitress experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time hours with flexible schedule
  • Basic cash handling skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a waiter or waitress
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including varying shifts and days
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of menu item ingredients and dietary considerations
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate combinations
  • Accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are honored
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and team members
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote and maintain a clean, safe and neat dining environment
  • Address guest complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • Ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
  • Operate dining room equipment such as fire extinguishers, iced tea machines, and coffee machines
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
