Job Requirements

- must possess or be able to obtain a valid servers' permit
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- excellent communication skills
- availability for seasonal work from April through September
- ability to handle cash transactions

- capability to understand and explain menu items including allergens and dietary restrictions
- teamwork and flexibility to collaborate with various departments
- experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required
Job Duties
- promptly and warmly greet guests
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay pertinent information to supervisors
- ensure service area is properly set up and cleaned before and after service periods
- operate a variety of equipment
- collaborate with staff from other departments for special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
