Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
recent experience in hospitality or customer service
ability to handle cash transactions accurately
reliable transportation
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
strong communication and interpersonal skills
physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to multitask in a busy restaurant setting

Job Qualifications

Have recent experience in the hospitality/customer service industry
ability to accurately exchange currency with guests as well as accurately handle tip-outs
ability to bus/pre-bus with or without support staff
ability to provide reliable transportation to and from work
ability to work fast and multi-task in a high-volume environment
ability to provide excellent customer service for every and all tables in the restaurant
must be friendly and consistently display an attitude that fosters a teamwork environment

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
efficiently take food and beverages, following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally
maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to get along well with others
remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information or complaints directly to the supervisor
ensure that the dining room is properly set up before and after the service period
keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards
operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
