Job Requirements

  • Prior healthcare experience or restaurant serving experience preferred
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • capability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • willingness to learn and be trained
  • ability to operate standard dining room equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in healthcare or restaurant serving preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • flexibility to work varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • basic math skills for cash handling

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate specialized diets and allergens as needed
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • set up the dining room before service and clean up afterwards
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines
  • assist staff during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
