Job Requirements
- Prior healthcare experience or restaurant serving experience preferred
- flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- ability to stand for extended periods
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- capability to handle cash transactions accurately
- willingness to learn and be trained
- ability to operate standard dining room equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in healthcare or restaurant serving preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- flexibility to work varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
- demonstrate understanding of menu items and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodate specialized diets and allergens as needed
- communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
- set up the dining room before service and clean up afterwards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines
- assist staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
