Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior server experience required
- availability to work full-time schedule Tuesday through Saturday including evenings and weekends
- legal authorization to work in the United States
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- willingness to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues
- flexibility to accommodate varying work hours
Job Qualifications
- Prior fine dining experience preferred
- server experience required
- excellent communication skills
- ability to maintain sanitation and food safety standards
- knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- ability to handle cash transactions properly
- flexibility and patience in customer service
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- basic understanding of specialized diets and allergens
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follows up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicates with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests are accommodated
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
- promptly addresses guest complaints or issues and relays relevant information to supervisors
- ensures dining room is set up properly before and after service and keeps the area clean
- operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
- works with other departments during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
