Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous serving experience preferred
- ability to work full-time schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with flexibility on days
- strong communication skills
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- compliant with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- able to handle cash responsibly
- willing to work at United SFO Polaris location
- pass any required background checks and drug screenings

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- periodically follows up with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences
- demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
- communicates effectively with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate well with others
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes and maintains a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- handles confidential information with sensitivity
- promptly addresses guest complaints or issues and relays information to supervisors
- ensures dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service
- operates various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborates with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
