Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to take and deliver food and beverage orders efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow established steps of service
  • Basic cash-handling skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Willingness to operate dining room equipment
  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of menu items and dietary restrictions is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Basic cash handling and point-of-sale experience
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and special events
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • Set up and clean dining room before and after service maintaining sanitation standards
  • Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines
  • Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
