Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to take and deliver food and beverage orders efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow established steps of service
- Basic cash-handling skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Willingness to operate dining room equipment
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of menu items and dietary restrictions is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Basic cash handling and point-of-sale experience
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and special events
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor
- Set up and clean dining room before and after service maintaining sanitation standards
- Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines
- Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
