Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous customer service experience preferred but not mandatory
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

- ability to handle cash responsibly
- ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and remain flexible and patient with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues relaying information to supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers telephones iced tea and soda machines soup wells and coffee machines
- work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
