Job Requirements
- Prior food service experience preferred
- availability for part-time schedule including weekends and holidays
- willingness to train
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to sanitation standards
- capability to handle food and beverage orders promptly
- ability to follow cash handling procedures
- ability to work flexible shifts between 6:30 am to 2:30 pm or 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm
- physical ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing and carrying items
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior food service experience is preferred but not required
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to work flexibly including weekends and holidays
- knowledge of safe food handling practices
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- teamwork and interpersonal skills
- willingness to learn and be trained
- basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service while maintaining sanitation standards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
