Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a similar waitstaff role preferred
  • ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • must be able to stand and walk for long periods
  • basic math skills for handling payments
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of menu items and allergen information is beneficial
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • good physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • customer service oriented
  • ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others
  • remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information directly to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period
  • keep area clean and neat meeting established sanitation standards
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
