Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a similar waitstaff role preferred
- ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- basic math skills for handling payments
- willingness to adhere to company policies and food safety standards

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others
- remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information directly to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period
- keep area clean and neat meeting established sanitation standards
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
