Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate knowledge of menu items and accommodate specialized diets and allergies
  • communicate orders clearly to back-of-house staff and ensure special requests are met
  • collect tickets and handle cash transactions properly
  • maintain a clean, safe, and neatly arranged dining area
  • address guest complaints and relay important information to supervisors promptly
  • set up and clean dining room before and after service periods
  • operate various equipment including telephones, soda machines, coffee machines, and fire extinguishers
  • collaborate with other departments for special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
