Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally
  • maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along with others
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room setup before and after service period
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with staff of other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
