Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience as a server preferred but not required
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- flexibility to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
- basic knowledge of menu items and dietary restrictions
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established service steps
- delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling standards
- follows up with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodates reasonable requests and dietary preferences including knowledge of allergens
- communicates directly with kitchen and back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and works well with others
- handles cash and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes and maintains a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintains confidentiality regarding personal and medical guest information
- promptly addresses guest complaints and relays information to supervisors
- ensures the dining room is properly set up before and after service and adheres to sanitation standards
- operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
- collaborates with staff during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
