Job Qualifications

- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to learn menu items and dietary restrictions quickly
- customer service experience is a plus but not required
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- willingness to undergo training and development
- ability to maintain confidentiality when required
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods while meeting sanitation standards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff of other departments for special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
