Job Requirements
- Prior server experience preferred but not required
- availability to work full time or part time including weekends
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- able to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- basic math skills for cash handling
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- must be able to perform job duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred but not required
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation recommended
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- capable of standing and walking for extended periods during shifts
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follows up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advises guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- communicates with kitchen staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintains sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly addresses complaints or issues and reports to supervisor
- ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operates various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
- works with other departments for special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
