Job Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • able to work full time or part time shifts including weekends and holidays
  • prior server experience is preferred but not required
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capable of lifting moderate weights
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • reliable and punctual
  • willingness to undergo background check and drug screening as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior server or hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to understand and recall menu items and ingredients
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • customer service oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • ability to work well under pressure and multitask
  • basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience and flexibility
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up and clean before and after service periods
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
