Job Qualifications

- knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices

- customer service experience is an advantage
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist guests with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
- communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain good relationships with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
