Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • able to work part-time hours including weekends
  • no prior experience required
  • ability to stand and move throughout the shift
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • capable of following safety and sanitation protocols
  • must be punctual and reliable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation is a plus
  • ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • customer service experience is beneficial but not required
  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests accommodation
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and patience when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service and maintain sanitation standards
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
