Job Requirements

  • One year of prior food service experience preferred
  • availability for part-time work Monday through Saturday including evenings and holidays
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • ability to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to operate beverage and kitchen equipment
  • able to follow established steps of service and cash handling procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of prior food service experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • team-oriented with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests accordingly
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains flexibility and patience with guests and staff
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues relaying information to supervisors
  • ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service, maintaining sanitation standards
  • operates various equipment such as fire extinguishers, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborates with other departmental staff during special events and functions
  • performs other duties as assigned
