Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodates special dietary requests and notes guest preferences
- communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays information to supervisors
- ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service and maintains sanitation standards
- operates various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborates with other department staff during special events
- performs other job-related duties as assigned
