- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- Accommodate reasonable guest requests and note preferences
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Handle cash and tickets following proper cash-handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment
- Address guest complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
- Ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- Collaborate with other departments during special events
- Perform other assigned duties
